CURRICULUM VITAE
François Peltier, followed his secondary studies at College St Joseph in Sarlat, then the European School in Luxemburg. He then decided to become a painter. Because he was impassioned with the Flemish Primitive School, he decided to leave for Brussels, Belgium, to attend lessons to the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts (Royal Academy of Fine Arts) where he graduated in 1978, obtaining his degree, the diplôme supérieur de peinture de chevalet.
After this, he got training in engraving and art printing at Brussel’s Manufacture d’Estampes et de Livres d’Art under the direction of André Colpin. Since 1979 he has been devoting himself entirely to painting. Exhibitions of his works have been taken place in South Western France where he lives but also in Cherbourg, but also at the Ricard Foundation, in Luxemburg, in Geneva, or in Belgium. He used to send his paintings to the main exhibitions and shows like the Salon d’Automne or the Salon des Artistes Français, but as soon as 1990 he gave it up for he didn’t their gigantism and the way they functioned.
